James Banks Design, founded by Heidi Nahser Fink and Adam Shulman, creates handmade jewelry out of their Northern California studio using old-world techniques. Their designs incorporate a variety of metals including gold, platinum, silver, copper, bronze, shakudo and feature intricate inlay processes, particularly within their signature butterflies, feathers, lightkeepers, & monocles. They use recycled metals, melting down filings from previous creations to craft new elements. The brand’s unique pieces often include hand-set precious stones and their lightkeepers are crafted with hand-blown glass, encapsulating stones and charms that can be customized over time. Their code collection features watch-like rotating dials that are customized with unique stones used as the "code" to lock and unlock bracelets and pendants.
